Poem: I STILL LOVE YOU

I fall myself into silence again

Suffering in the absence of spoken words
Tired from the weight of loss
It’s too fast to breathe
Let me not forget to exhale
Let me not forget to inhale

Let my fingers express what my lips hold back
On this day, my birthday, feeling alone
Valentine’s Day so close to my open wound
Even good days are wrapped in darkness

You take my breath away in force
Only if you could feel the weight of my world
Under the weight of your world
