Poem: Thanksgiving Day Poem

This was written later in my life when stability started to set in.

Families are a pain the ass, especially on Holidays.
Step Families and In-Laws are sometimes more annoying.
They argue, they irritate, they get in the way.
Holidays are the most stressful times of the year.
Everyone wants to make it perfect, or at least special.
Some people try too hard to impress, or at least not disappoint.
Sometimes family nitpicks and comments on things we don’t want to hear.
A lot of times, we dread visiting family.
No one likes fighting with family on Holidays.
And yet, families still come together for them.
All that which drives us crazy, reminds us of how much we love them.
I am thankful for my family.
I miss Holidays with my family.
And I love them all, blood, step, and in-law.
Happy Thanksgivings Day!
